Artie Arroyo

Licensed Massage Therapist

Artie is an excellent and experienced Licensed Massage Therapist. As a doTerra Wellness Advocate he utilizes doTERRA essential oils in his treatment protocols for enhancing the overall health, performance and recovery of athletes and clients.

Artie completed his Medical Massage Practitioner Certification in February of 2019 to address clients who have medically necessary massage treatment prescribed by their treating doctor. He served on The Hockey Summit's recovery team during the July to August 2017-2019 preseason camps providing recovery massage treatments for Jr. Hockey, College, Olympians, and European/US Professionals of ECHL/AHL and NHL. He also served as a member of the recovery team for Belfry Hockey servicing elite NHL players (2017-19) and select members of the U.S. and Canadian Olympic Women's Hockey teams in 2019.  Since moving here full time Artie has worked with NFL, NHL, MiLB, Competitive Figure Skating, Professional Beach Volleyball, Body Building, Fitness Champions, many of SWFL medical providers, other Massage Therapists, and club champions of many of SWFL's tennis and golf clubs. In a former role Artie was an instructor of Musculo-Skeletal Anatomy evening classes at the Central Florida School of Massage Therapy from March 2010 through March 2016. 

Here Artie demonstrated his technical skills in palpation, client assessment, postural analysis, massage techniques, stretching, treatment protocols and anatomical knowledge of joint movement. He obtained his personal trainer certification from ISFTA in September 2015 and a rehabilitation fitness specialist certification for foam roller and stability ball use from ISFTA in August 2015. Artie has experience with kinesio taping, postural analysis, and functional joint assessment. Artie earned his Bachelors of Science from the University at Albany, NY with interdisciplinary Major of Human Biology in 1996.   

He received his massage education from Central Florida School of Massage Therapy and became licensed in Florida in 2008. Artie earned his sports massage certification with Pro Sports USA under the supervision of Michael McGillicuddy, LMT during the Fall of 2008. This experience included working on athletes in various sports at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In August 2013, Artie graduated with his MBA from UCF’s professional graduate program. Artie is a member of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP).  

Originally from Long Island, NY, Artie played 4 years of Collegiate Football at the University at Albany, NY from 1992-95. He is married with four children ages 9, 7, 5, and 1. (Sept. update).
